Pure hard work has seen Hayden progress from a grade cricketer to a professional in the frame of three years from making his first grade debut in NSW Premier Cricket. Hayden was then fast tracked into the NSW and Sydney Sixers squad after a long consistent form with the bat for Sydney University Cricket Club.

Fast forward to 2021 and Hayden has his break out season as a professional with highlight performances in the Sheffield Shield, One Day Domestic and Big Bash League. Kerr scored 62* against Victoria in his shield debut dispatching bowlers to all parts of the SCG only for him to do two days later against Victoria in a one day game with 43 (41).

The BBL saw Hayden become a name people all around the world would be talking about. Nicknamed 'the fisherman', Hayden took 25 wickets @15 and score 152 runs @ 38 including a 98* to get the Sixers into the BBL final.
